We need the following list below to get started on developing website in PHP.
- Apache Server – A web server is a computer program that delivers (serves) content, such as web pages, using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), over the World Wide Web. The term web server can also refer to the computer or virtual machine running the program.
- MySQL Database – This is where you will store your important data. MySQL is fast, easy to use, your data is secured, flexible, and it’s FREE.
- PHP – is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language that was originally designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages.
I recommend to download and Install XAMPP
If you have installed the XAMPP successfully. You’ll see XAMPP on your browser in “localhost” address. (See screenshot above).
I recommend to use Notepad++ or NetBeans for PHP. You can download it below:
- Notepad++ – Notepad++ is a text editor and source code editor for Windows, though it can run on Linux and Mac OS X, using software such as Wine. The primary advantage of Notepad++ over the built-in text editor, Notepad, is tabbed editing, to easily work with multiple open files.
I hope that helps. Thanks 🙂
